Xbox Games Showcase 2026 is done and dusted! The show had a number of big reveals, including the announcement of Persona 6 (finally!), and a brand new Spyro game. Microsoft also confirmed two Xbox console exclusives: Gears of War: E Day and Clockwork Revolution, showing a return, in part, to an exclusives strategy for some games. On the whole, though, the games shown at Xbox Games Showcase are also coming to PlayStation 5.
Elsewhere, we got release dates for Halo: Campaign Evolved and Playground's recently delayed Fable, and the surprise announcement of a nostalgia-fueled Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition. Xbox Games Showcase ended with a first look at the DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
Microsoft closed out Xbox Games Showcase with a first look at the DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. This is the extraction mode, separate to Campaign and Multiplayer.
Clockwork Revolution
inXile's Clockwork Revolution has a new trailer and the surprise confirmation it's Xbox console exclusive. It's due out at some point in 2027. Like Gears of War: E-Day, there's no PS5 version of Clockwork Revolution.
Spyro: A Realm Beyond
Spyro is back! Spyro: A Realm Beyond is from Toys for Bob, and sees Spyro actually take flight. It's due out spring 2027.
Persona 6
It's finally here! Persona 6 is real and it has its debut trailer, although it told us next to nothing about the game. It is coming day one to Xbox Game Pass, which feels big. Here's what Atlus had to say about it:
"Persona 6 brings everything beloved about the series into a bold new story. The signature blend of heartfelt daily life and pulse-pounding supernatural adventure returns, wrapped around a completely fresh, standalone story and a new cast of characters. Whether you've been with the series since the beginning or this is your very first Persona experience, you belong here!"
Vivarium
Serenity Forge revealed a trailer for Vivarium, the life-sim adventure from Studio Meadowflower. This hand-illustrated world is inspired by timeless anime classics. Here's the official blurb: "Step into a summer that never ends as Jenny, a bright and energetic resident of a tiny terrarium town. Vivarium syncs to your real-world calendar to bring daily narrative events and quests throughout its emotional campaign. Spend days completing quests for peculiar neighbors, overcoming environmental puzzles, or tending to your garden and home."
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse has a new trailer and a release date: October 15, 2026. The new Konami game is set for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Steam. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is an exploration-based 2D action game, which has been developed jointly by Konami and Evil Empire, with advisory help from indie studio Motion Twin. The new trailer revealed Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, battling her way beneath the catacombs of Paris and the dark halls of Dracula’s castle. The trailer also showcases the game's exploration driven combat, gothic atmosphere, and signature game mechanics.
Where Winds Meet
Everstone Studio has shadow-dropped its free-to-play Wuxia open-world ARPG, Where Winds Meet, on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud, with benefits for Game Pass subscribers. Meanwhile, Evertsone revealed the game's third major expansion, Hidden Mountain, due out in July.
Valor Mortis
Valor Mortis, a first-person action soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner, has a new trailer and a release date: Sept 24, 2026. I can't believe I'm saying this, but that's yet another September game. Good luck to them all! The White Lotus star Vincent Cassel plays Napoleon Bonaparte in the game.
Minecraft Dungeons 2
Minecraft Dungeons 2 has a new trailer and a release date: Sept 29, 2026. Yes, that's another new game to add to the September pile.
Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition
Microsoft went hard on nostalgia with the reveal of the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition, which leans heavily on the original Xbox console. It's due out November 2026. That means that for the first time, Microsoft is bringing a translucent design to Xbox Series X, drawing inspiration from the original Xbox and OG Green so many fans remember. There's a Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition, too. Just bring back the blades while you're at it, Microsoft!
Crazy Taxi: World Tour
Crazy Taxi is back! Sega has a brand new game in the series, dubbed World Tour, and it's out in 2027. Helmed by original Crazy Taxi creator Kenji Kanno, Crazy Taxi: World Tour "will take players on a high-octane adventure around the globe," Sega said. In the new World Tour story-driven campaign, players will play as Axel, chasing down mysterious masked villains who stole his beloved taxi all while tackling extreme missions and challenges! Crazy Taxi: World Tour will be available on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. It is an xbox Play Anywhere game, too.
Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations
id Software's Doom: The Dark Ages is getting an expansion! It's called Revelations and it's due out July 7.
Senua
Ninja Theory is back with another Hellblade game, except this one is simply called Senua. From the gameplay reveal, it looks like there's more going on in terms of combat. It's due out in 2027.
Join Us
Here's another brand new game announcement: Join Us. As you'd expect from a video game with that as the title, it's about joining a cult.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember
Team Ninja announced Three Kingdoms action RPG sequel Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, due out early 2027 on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox on PC, and Steam. It's also day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Bad Magpie
Xbox Games Showcase saw the announcement of narrative adventure Bad Magpie. It's from new UK-based studio Milktooth, and is due out on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox on PC and Steam next year. "Play as a magpie who, after getting abandoned by her flock, goes on a chaotic quest to collect trinkets in the hopes of winning the affections of a fallen star," Milktooth said. "Explore a small, densely packed, non-linear open world full of things to peck, steal, combine, and meddle with."
Metro 2039
4A Games's Metro 2039 has a brand new trailer, featuring three minutes of in-game footage that revealed a first look at the Fuhrer of the Metro, Hunter, who you’ll pursue through the tunnels. It's due out February 2027.
State of Decay 3
State of Decay 3 made its expected appearance at Xbox Games Showcase, bringing with it a new trailer complete with a first look at gameplay. But Undead Labs' sequel still doesn't have a firm release date. All we got was a 2027 release window, which is a little disappointing. Also confirmed is it's coming to PS5 as well as Xbox Series X and S and PC.
Persona 4 Revival
Persona 4 Revival has a release date: February 18, 2027. And it's coming day one to Game Pass! A full reimagining of the modern classic RPG, Persona 4 Revival features enhanced visuals, improved gameplay, modern aesthetics, and quality-of-life updates that bring the classic to life like never before.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
Xbox Games Showcase brought us a new trailer for Asobo Studio's Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. It's due out August 27 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S. And yes, this one is coming day one to Xbox Game Pass.
Halo: Campaign Evolved
The new Halo: Campaign Evolved trailer teased the new story content coming to the game.
Three new missions set one year before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved are included, complete with space combat. The release date is confirmed! July 28, 2026. Not long now.
In an Xbox Wire blog post, Microsoft also confirmed that players can get five-days of early access and play the game on July 23rd if they purchase the premium edition ($69.99) or collector's edition ($199.99).
The base game will cost $49.99 and is available to preorder now.
Fable
Playground's Fable has a new trailer, confirming MCU star Hayley Atwell plays the main villain, Isabel. We also have a firm release date: February 23, 2027.
The game is also now up for preorder at all major retailers from $69, and features three seperate editions for fans to choose from: standard, premium, and collector's.
Notably, those buying the premium and collector's editions will get up to five days early access to the game.
Gears of War: E-Day
Xbox Games Showcase kicked off with a new trailer for Gears of War: E-Day, showing a young Marcus Fenix in civilian clothing fighting through the streets against the surprise Locust attack. And we have a release date: October 6, 2026.
The big news here though is Gears of War: E-Day is Xbox console exclusive, which means there's no PlayStation 5 version. That's a massive call from new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma right there.
Preorders are also now live for those looking to pick up a copy of the game on Xbox.
