Fans of James Cameron's Avatar films, it's now time to make a little extra space in your film library: Avatar: Fire and Ash is making its way to physical formats. There are quite a lot of options to choose from as well. Far and away, the best selling option has been the limited edition 4K steelbook. It's also available on standard 4K and Blu-ray. It's even coming out on 3D Blu-ray (now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time...). And if that's not enough, you can pick up the 3-movie collector's edition on 4K or Blu-ray.
Most editions are all set to be released on May 19, but the 4K three-movie collector's edition is coming out a bit later on June 16. Avatar: Fire and Ash's limited edition steelbook comes with the film on 4K, Blu-ray, and digital. It also comes with a bonus features disc that's stacked with exciting things to watch, which you can learn more about further down.
This edition is out May 19. You can also preorder the regular 4K and Blu-ray versions of the film, which come with a digital copy but are not packaged in a steelbook case (see below).

If you're not up for splurging on the steelbook, perhaps you might be interested in the standard edition. It's available in both 4K and Blu-ray.
Avatar 3-Movie Collector's Edition

If you're a big fan of these films and want to go all-out with a 4K purchase, this three-movie collector's edition sets you up with Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water, and Avatar: Fire and Ash on 4K, Blu-ray, and digital. That's not all, though: it also comes with three Blu-ray bonus discs for each film, a collectible book, and a special letter from James Cameron that's only available in this collector's edition.
This is set to be released a little bit later than the other versions, on June 16.

In case you're wondering whether the movie is any good, you can rest assured that it is. From our 9/10 Avatar: Fire and Ash review: "Avatar: Fire and Ash isn’t the technical leap forward that its predecessor was, which is to be expected after three years instead of thirteen. But what it lacks in novelty, it more than makes up for with refinement on every level. The planet Pandora feels slightly less alien, but its denizens become a lot more familiar, and James Cameron has given them – and his first trilogy – an immensely gratifying finale that’s well worth the wait."
Now if only James Cameron can find a cheaper way to make these movies, we might get episodes 4 and 5 at some point.
