We’re not yet halfway through November, but the Black Friday sales have officially begun. Walmart’s Black Friday rollout is comprised of three events, with the first one running November 14 – 16. That means we're officially in it. One of the best deals going right now is a 1-year Walmart+ membership for half price. That means right now you can sign up for an annual subscription for $49 instead of the usual $98.
The discounted price for an annual subscription to Walmart+ is live now through Cyber Monday, meaning it ends on Tuesday, December 2.
Walmart Black Friday Deals – Event One
As for what’s on sale during this opening Black Friday sale event, there are a few standout deals. The first is the discount on the Apple AirPods Pro 2. With the release of the AirPods Pro 3 earlier this year, this is one of the first of many discounts on the previous generation we'll see as other retailer roll out their Apple Black Friday sales. If this discount is still around tomorrow, you can likely expect Amazon to match it ahead of its own Black Friday event next week.
The other notable discount here is that Hisense 75-inch 4K TV. It's not the highest-end television you can buy, but it's a great price for a TV that big. You might not want to use it as your main TV, but it would be a great addition to a basement entertainment room or any other secondary TV area. A lot of folks will be looking to buy a bigger TV during Black Friday this year and this is one of the better deals we've seen on something more than 70-inches so far this year.
Walmart also has some of the PS5 Dualsense controller colors at a discount, but it's likely not the steepest price cut we'll see before Black Friday is over. You might want to wait on this one unless you're in desperate need of a new controller.
Of all the current deals, the Walmart+ annual membership is one of the best deals around. If you’re not ready to commit to a full year, you can sign up for a month for $12.95 and still get all the benefits, including early access to the rest of Walmart's Black Friday events. Going monthly cuts the buy-in price by quite a bit – but it’s worth noting you won’t be able to get the half-price annual subscription deal if you decide to stick around after the month runs out.
Alternatively, you can start a free trial of Walmart+, but doing so does not get you early access to the Black Friday sale events (see below for the schedule). The free trial still gets you all the other benefits of a membership, but you’ll have to wait for the sales to open up to everyone to take advantage.

Benefits of a Walmart+ Membership
As stated above, a Walmart+ membership gets you early access to Black Friday sale events as well as other sales throughout the year. But it also gets you a bunch of other benefits. Here’s a rundown of some of the most notable:
- Free shipping with no order minimum
- Free delivery from local Walmart stores
- Paramount+ or Peacock membership (can switch every 90 days)
- Gas savings
- Burger King savings
If you're open to shopping at other stores, you can check out the early Black Friday sales at Best Buy and Costco. And for readers, you can buy 2 books and get 1 free at Amazon.
