What's the Best Order to Watch the Saw Movies?

Following the Saw chronology is fairly straightforward, though if you want to be sure you're viewing the movies in the best order, whether that be by release date or narrative chronology, be sure to check out our Saw movies in order explainer.

Will There Be More Saw Movies?

Saw XI was originally confirmed with a 2025 release date, but was quietly cancelled that same year. Hope is not lost, however. Ongoing dispute over the future of the series under Twisted Pictures eventually culminated in Blumhouse Studios' acquisition of the Saw franchise in June 2025. That means the slasher franchise is back in the hands of its creator, James Wan. The director of the original Saw has already indicated that he will be having a more direct role in the next Saw film, which he hopes will "hark back to the spirit of the first movie."
